An absolutely mad comedy, with Irene (Maureen Lipman) and Vera (Anne Reid) exchanging letters. Irene is looking after Vera's daughter, Karen, in Australia. Karen has just given birth and Vera is overexcited.

STARRING MARTIN CLUNES (Above), FAY RIPLEY, WENDY CRAIG, NEIL STUKE, GEOFF WHITEHEAD, JIM HOWICK, NICK MOHAMMED AND MORE.
This comedy seems to be somewhat underrated. It is based on the classic version, with Rising Damp star Leonard Rossiter as Reggie, but Martin Clunes, star of Men Behaving Badly and Doc Martin, has been cast for the remake.
