Robert Fyfe - interview

Robert Fyfe is a fabulous actor, best known for playing the hen-pecked Howard Sibshaw in Last of the Summer Wine from 1985 to 2010. Here are some questions that we asked Bob. Bob wrote:

Dear Alex + George,

Thankyou for your letter. I'm sorry that you have had to wait so long for an answer but I've been rather busy.

What a lot of questions -

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE EPISODE OF LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE?

'One of my favourite Summer Wine episodes was 'A Tale of Two Sweaters' and another was 'Defeat of the Stone Worm'.

WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTOR?

'My favourite actor is an actress - Judi Dench'.

DO YOU PLAY ANY INSTRUMENTS?

'I was taught to play the piano - but prefer now to listen to music rather than play badly.'

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD?

'My favourite food is fruit cake. I was brought up in Scotland where there are all kinds of splendid cakes.'

IF YOU WANT TO, YOU CAN VISIT WWW.SUMMERWINE.YOLASITE.COM

'I can't visit your website - I'm not a computer literate + depend on my grandson to do it all for me - but maybe one day....'

I expect you will already be looking forward to Christmas. I hope you have a great time.

Happy Christmas to you both,

Robert Fyfe.
