Scottish actor Graham Crowden dies aged 87

Edinburgh-born Graham Crowden, the actor who appeared alongside Stephanie Cole in the sitcom Waiting for God, has died aged 87, his agency confirms. The actor, who was offered the job of Doctor Who, also appeared alongside Peter Davison in A Very Peculiar Practice. He later came to play a villain in Doctor Who. His other appearances included in Porridge, Foyle's War and Rumpole of the Bailey. His personal agent, Sue Grantley, of Jonathan Altaras Associates, said 'He was a lovely, lovely man.' He leaves his wife and several children, including Sarah Crowden who is an actress.
